Lethbridge & District Siksikaitsitapi Pow Wow August 24-25

The Lethbridge & District Siksikaitsitapi Pow Wow will invite dancers to register at no cost to participate in Tiny Tots, Junior, Teen, Adult Men, Adult Women and Golden Age categories in Buckskin, Chicken, Fancy, Grass, Jingle, Traditional and Drumming categories. The Pow Wow will include cash prize pay-outs for each category totaling over $65,000.

The Grand Entry will take place at 1 p.m. each day, with the Pow Wow ending at 7 p.m. before the Lethbridge & District Pro Rodeo. This Pow Wow honours the unique and rich cultural history of the land and First Nations People, and we invite the community to witness the beauty and knowledge that is rooted in the drumming and dancing of competitive Pow Wow.

Lethbridge & District Siksikaitsitapi Princess Pageant August 23-24

The Lethbridge & District Siksikaitsitapi Princess Pageant will invite princess pageant contestants to compete for the title of Miss Siksikaitsitapi on August 23. The winner will be crowned at Pow Wow on August 24. Pageant contestants will be invited to compete in Tiny Tots, Junior and Senior categories. The crowned Miss Siksikaitsitapi winner will represent Lethbridge & District Exhibition and the Blackfoot Confederacy as an ambassador throughout the year.Pageant contestants will be included in the Whoop-Up Days Parade, and will be scored on their essay submission, speech, dance and talent showcase.

Lethbridge & District Exhibition is excited to welcome an Indigenous marketplace community to Whoop-Up Days in the Lethbridge & District Siksikaitsitapi Pow Wow. The submission form below includes the rules and regulations for all participating vendors.

    1. Management will attempt to accommodate all requests but due to limited space, vendors will not be permitted location selections. 2. Management reserves the right to move booth placements, if required, up to the event move-in. 3. Vendors are to wait for an approval confirmation prior to contacting the office to submit payment. 4. Payment must be received in full by August 15, 2022 or booth spaces will be released to waitlisted vendors. 5. Vendors must be moved in August 22 by 2 p.m. or will be considered no-shows, no refunds will be issued and booth space will be sold to waitlisted vendors. 6. Vendors must not sublet or share booth space with any other business or vendor. 7. Direct selling is only allowed within booth space. 8. Vendors must wear provided badges in their booths. 9. All booths will have 8’ back drape and 3’ side drape. 10. Security will be effect from move-in until conclusion of move-out. 11. Parking is not included for Exhibitors. 12. Management reserves the right to cancel booth space if vendors are intentionally breaking terms agreed upon. 13. Vendors acknowledge that all right, title and interest in video(s) and/or photograph(s) taken on the show floor, being original works, belong to Lethbridge & District Exhibition for marketing purposes. 14. No Exhibitor will have exclusive rights to products. Other Exhibitors will be allowed to sell similar products. 15. No threatening or aggressive behavior to marketplace management, security, members of the public, or other Vendors will be tolerated. 16. No helium or propane cylinders are allowed in the buildings. 17. No animals are allowed in the booths, or left in vehicles. 18. No smoking of cigarettes, vaping or marijuana is permitted inside the buildings. 19. There is no loading dock on-site. 20. Forklifts will be available on-site. 21. Food vendors must comply with the Alberta Health Food Safety Regulations, which includes applying for a Special Event Food Vendor Notification. 22. Management may at any time in its discretion, remove the Exhibitor, and/or its employees/workers from event grounds for any violation of this contract.
